Sort of OT: My new Kit bedroom!

I am doing my bedroom somewhat like Kit's! I didn't relalize it until just now....

I ordered a chenille bedspread that is that same green color, and it has a few rose pink flowers on it.

I have a wooden floor, and I'm going to get rose colored braided rugs, and top the bed off with lots of pretty hand made throw pillows in pinks and that fabulous green.

I have an antique iron bed that is going to be painted the pink color in the spread!

I have been trying FOREVER to figure out how to do this room.....it's been driving me nuts! I love to decorate in vintage styles, but nothing was coming to me...at least nothing that really hit me right.

I'm really excited to get this room finished! Good think DH doesn't care what I do.....

Kit's bed and bedroom furniture are my absolute favorite of all the historicals. I love furniture from her time period (and am lucky enough to have some items from the 30s/40s from my grandparents).
I also love pink and green together; it sounds like it will be beautiful!

You should get the matching Kit doll furniture(if you don't have it already) and put it in a corner in that room.

Katie...that's a great idea...but DH would be in misery if we had a doll display in there! LOL!!!

But...I will have a doll room once we get moved into the new bedroom! Yipee!!!!!
